       @luke Just as you said that viewers become inspired as they hear their own contemplations and impressions firmly formulated by another person with perceived status, likewise you became enticed by Orthodox philosophy. Perceived status is important for this inspiration or enticement to immediately take effect, but ideally it shouldn't be that way.We should strive to become indifferent to whether we sense truth in what is spoken by an influencer or a stranger, an established denomination or a NRM.

       @lukeThe larger part of what I stated is my own view.All you did say is that people like listening to you because they hear things they have already kind of known.I know your firm position is that there can only be one truth and human intellect is incapable of reaching truth about everything by itself; that speculative thought bears delusion and it is wise to retract to the canon chronologically closest to Jesus's time for authenticity's sake.But the mind is not bound to a human's intellect.
