@plexus @Raspberry_Pi I'm starting to think Mastodon is not for me. People keep going on about this warm community that isn't like Twitter but Raspberry Pi can't even post something about the Grinch without someone shouting at them for hiring an ex (as in, not current) police officer. Either this is some dark corner of the world where students without any life experience are congregating or I am missing the point.

@roseeater @plexus @Raspberry_Pi i wouldn't let this whole situation deter you. its drama. - rpi hires ex cop- portion of intermet loses its mind- internet trolls rpi- rpi rightfully counter- internet cancels- fedi server admins buy more ram- people upsettoday its rpi, tomorrow they'll be complaining about how unfair it is that comic sans font will cost 99$ humans are the problem. cops and i don't play nice together. but rpi hired a human who happened to be a cop at one point. im still going to buy rpi, because they are useful and fun. and i think for myself.wtf do people think the ex-cop is going to do? place micro camera in pi to watch people in their sleep? that's nsa-level shvt and costs a lot to do.
