I want to look at a man in the eyes and see a depth of person and self that I've never actually seen in my own life. And I want to live in a country filled with people like that. If I'm pining for it, it must be something we're supposed to have.

@CatLord it is definitely something we should have. The closest feeling to that i get is when i see a wild animal..especially moose for some reason. I dont know if that makes me a total nutbar or not lol

@Turkleton No, actually that's a very good comparison. The animal is its whole self, as it's supposed to be. It doesn't know any perversion of that. Man is much more malleable - capable of a lot more but also vulnerable to twisting. I suppose a beaten animal would have the same problem.

@Turkleton What's the difference? We don't have any of those antlered creatures here.

@CatLord @Turkleton Elk could still gore you to death. Moose can flaten a cars roof and kill all the occupants. They are very large about 7ft at the shoulder

@zombiefinatic @Turkleton Jesus Christ! The worst we have to worry about in that regard is hitting a kangaroo and having it go through the windscreen or wreck the front of your car if you don't have a roo bar.

@CatLord @Turkleton Yeah Moose, if you hit one, god forbid is a fuckin massive problem, yeah they are about 1000lb on stilts so a small to medium car hits itx can flaten the fucking thing. I also have heard stories of them getting hit and the head going onto the windshield, and their 3ft antlers decapitating the front seat driver. Well Bison are even bigger than them hahah, but we domt have them around here so not my problem. We got bears too, no grizzlies which arr the big ones but still black bears are 200-400lb. Put a dent in your car haha. Deer, I assume are about Kangaroo sized are the big traffic collision causer in New England behind snow.

@zombiefinatic @Turkleton Very cool animal. Intimidating appearance with those antlers too! Is it common for people to hit bison or bears?

@CatLord @Turkleton Yes intimidating certinly. Bison I dunno. They are a North West coast thing, I am North East coast. Jewgle says in Yellowstone Park, “241 known collisions with large mammals such as bison, elk, and bears in 2021”I dont know what you consider common but thats what I found. Bears are not too common a hit around here, found a source saying about 30-40 in 2011 so assume sub 100 hits a year in 2022, compared to White Tail deer which average 1200 hits a year.
