       @thenewoil pretty sure they keep the keys, in the case of chinese citizen they probably share them with the government, nice that they now have it, but it just feels empty to me

       @keyshooter Previously they agreed to store keys in a Chinese data center for Chinese citizens but that was prior to announcing E2EE across the board (mostly). It's unclear how this will affect Chinese citizens now, to my knowledge.
