@freemo @m1k3 If the logo is still an issue, I had one comment on skanman's previous good work. Love the intersecting globes/circles, I think this really conveys what is going on/the nature of federation. But I think the i in UFOI should be lower case, and the O upper: UFOi. This disambiguates the i from a 1 character, buys into the iPhone/iCarly semiology (this may not be a good thing), and presents UFO as a part of the whole, buying into the whole X-Files.Area 51 thing (this also may not be a good thing).

@lavenderlens Personally I'm happy wth the current logo for launch. That said my plan was once a bunch of logos are in and once we have the voting infrastructure up then we will vote to see what logo the community likes best. Seems a nice safe thing to test voting on.@m1k3

@PonyPanda So basically its a machine you breath into and it can tell you any disease you have (the library of diseases it supports can be arbitrarily large) and will tell you all the diseeases you have in just a minute or two.Right now we only have a proof of concept and it works with COVID with 91% accuracy.The device is effectively a minature GCMS, it is able to identify all the VOCs in your breath... my algorithm is able to go from a list of VOCs to being able to identify what diseases you likely have.

I’d like to understand the concerned parties that lead behind this decision? Is it users on instances or instance admins?I think “other identity factor” is too open to interpretation. It technically allows those that would utilize hate speech rules in reverse. If that’s chopped off, it’s sufficient as a standard I think.

The point is to make a set of basic minimum rules that are acceptable to federate. I take the view that this mostly covers Western countries, which includes removing any sort of high issue legality problems for instances across a large chunk of western countries where sensible.

@Ryle Having rules that were too simple is originally what got us in a ton of trouble with the community.. they felt the terms werent well defined and therefore didnt provide much protection@ufoi
