So this is our 110 lb puppies first Christmas. After I left for work my wife was in the kitchen and heard jingling noises and got to the family room just in time to see him pull down the tree. She sent me this pic

It was a minor calamity. Of course if it had happened on my watch it would have been. Major catastrophe. Righting it almost gave me a stroke. Then I fixing the lights and got a crink in my neck, so I quickly lowered my arms, not realizing that my wife had come up behind me. I knocked her on her ass. She wasn't as pissed as I would have expected. Perhaps a bit shocked.Anyway the tree is all fixed and as an added precaution, I wired it to the wall. 2 of 3

@Candlelight indeed. it isn't the first time for us. A few years back the cat tried to climb it and it didn't go well. Dogs have knocked several over and one just fell all by itself.

@Phil Thank God he didn't eat them. Apparently some puppies are attracted to the glass texture and they eat them. Same thing with lights. My dog found a packet of replacement lights two years ago and chewed them up but didn't eat them. 🙏

@Phil Our tree is 9' fake, was pre-lit but I had to convert it to LED about 2 years ago. I think I put 1500 foot of lights on it. My wife loves decorating the tree and does a wonderful job of it.The 9' tree was huge in our old Texas house but a little small here. She's wanting a 12 footer now. The doggo likes to scratch his back under the tree - not a popular thing with momma.

@Phil My wife started collecting Hallmark ornaments 39 years ago and we have a huge collection now. All still returned to original boxes and stored every year. My job is usually reboxing and playing tetris to get them back in the container.
