@ElizabethLeeCo I’m so tired of it. There was a scheduled 11 hour outage today because they are still repairing damage to the infrastructure. There is another 11 hour outage planned for tomorrow to continue to work on it. However there are wind warnings right now so I may lose power tonight, anyways. I’m just not having fun right now. 💩🤯😱

@ElizabethLeeCo I’m so not DIY. I’m afraid of blowing something up or electrocuting someone (including myself). That’s why I was going to have an electrician put it in proper with the transfer switch etc…but that cost money and I haven’t been able to swing it yet. Something else always comes up.I’m afraid of screwing something up.

@HorrorQueen I think you literally just pour gasoline into the generator and plug an extension cord into it to plug some things into in your house 🤔

@ElizabethLeeCo is that safe though? I am such a worry wart. Like I know here in bc legally you are suppose to use a transfer switch etc not that everyone is doing that. A lot of people aren’t. Even my neighbours don’t. I guess if I were to directly plug my fridge into it, as an example, that would be ok as it’s not running a bunch of stuff? I need an electrician sugar daddy 🤣.

@HorrorQueen 😂 there ya go. You should put out an ad. And I've never used one before but I think the big thing is to make sure the generator is outside so you don't murder yourself. The instructions probably tell you what you can plug into it based on how much power it has.

@HorrorQueen @ElizabethLeeCo Just make sure the generator is in a well ventilated space outside, and run an extension cord into the house. You can then hang a multi-pronged outlet off of that and plug in multiple things
