Wait are New York Times workers striking tomorrow? Just saw a tweet saying people should stay off the website to join in. Wonder how this will play out.

@extremebirdnerd Yeah I don't know what to feel about it, will this change anything? I've long lost any sort of faith in journalistic integrity. Everything is biased and payed for, we just have to wade through it all to find kernels of truth.

@earlgrey I don't have too much hope for the NY Times just because of how long it has been so bad. But I'll still keep an eye on it to see, weird things happen sometimes. And yeah, I used to read most news-based magazines every month, they all become super-biased.

@extremebirdnerd I read this thing somewhere that said, these news sites are pay-walling their news where as places like The DailyMail are for everyone. Which one do they think people will read? Which one is truly accessible for all people? And what does that mean for what information is getting seen, and what bias it's getting reported with. Just something interesting to think about, your comment reminded me. Hoarding information and making your opinions monetary does create an elitism that isn't backed up by the reporting. They haven't been reporting truthfully or hell accurately on many topics, of course it'll always have a bias, especially with who owns them/who's paying etc. But they've been straight up kuku bananas for a while.
