Lol, everyone talking how Mac is easier than Linux but it doesn't even have a graphical way to create a bootable usb stick and needs to convert an .iso to .img first. 🙃 Is there even a single guide that doesn't use Balena Etcher? I don't want to recommend a tool with potentially harmful telemetry.

@Natanox The question is always, to me, who's going to want to do that?I don't know how many Mac users care about that. Then again I've never been one. I will say I've only wanted to do that once, when I built my first computer and wanted to boot Linux off a usb.I wanna say I used Rufus. This was almost three years ago by now. I did also try Balena. One of them didn't quite work for me.

@Paradox I flash sticks all the time and would strongly expect a feature like that from a system that markets itself as for people who want to get work done / for professionals / for powerusers ecetera.

@Natanox Professionals of what, though?Big boss ain't gonna care about flashing sticks. They just want their spreadsheets and video calls to not lag or crash.Super users, yeah. But honestly I've always thought of the average Mac user (at least, modern ones) as the exact opposite of a power user. Simple design (or whatever Apple considers simple) walled garden stuff. You use what they give you and you like it. If they don't let you do something, you don't need to do it.

@Paradox @Natanox And don‘t forget the integration. To me, there is nothing easier than using an iPhone, iPad, macOS, Apple TV to share data, connections, steering your home devices. I am not talking about the privacy impact here. Just the user friendliness. How do you do this with Linux and Android e.g.? Without additional tools? No way.Linux is a box with Lego stones. MacOS is the house almost fully built.
