       I think when we become an interplanetary species, we will have tons of people wishing to go back to earth to spend their final time or have their remains buried on earth.

       @GNUxeava I can definitely see that happening. I know I'd be incredibly attached to this place 😅 (not that our species becoming interplanetary will happen within my lifetime, but I confidently expect a significant amount of other people to feel the same way 😁)

       @kiri@fosstodon.org i also think it will be the first people who will settle on another planet, the ones who have lived a significant part of their early life on earth. The latter generations wouldn't be as inclined to have their remains on earth. Unless earth becomes a cult or something.
