For Christmas, I got myself a new WASD CODE V3 with Cherry MX Brown switches. I love my Blues, but want something a little lighter and quicker (and quieter!). I don’t have replacement key caps yet so it’s going to be black-on-black for now, but it’ll eventually get at least some of the color of my current board.

Said current keyboard, a WASD V3 with Cherry MX Blue switches. This is an older picture. I’ve since replaced the letter caps with blank PBT caps.The skull and crossbones key is macroed to instantly lock the computer.

@tek PS. My husband was using cherry blues at the start of lockdown when I started WFH for the first time. There *might* have been an “It’s them or me” ultimatum. He swapped for browns within a fortnight.

@drandrewv2 @tek interesting. I have cherry browns and my wife definitely has made some comments about their noise. I was actually thinking of switching to blues, as they sounded a bit more interesting, but I don't think our relationship needs the added stress.

@drandrewv2 @tek this is the first mechanical keyboard I have owned and I love it. It just feels so nice. I can't imagine using the standard gel ? keyboards that Apple uses anymore.

@RadiantFlux @drandrewv2 I can't imagine going back to a mushy keyboard. We can debate about whether blues or browns or Topre or [insert long list here] are "best", but can all agree that any of them are better than the default.

@tek @drandrewv2 We are definitely on the same page. Using my keyboard really makes me what to take out for a proper spin like writing a book.At the moment it's like I have this fabulous car/bike that I only go down the road to go shopping. I want to go on a proper road trip with this baby!
