@Twoinchdestroya @Terry ZOG wants somebody in the firing line. I'd guess deploying US assets would be too provocative, France just isn't going to do it, UK is somewhere in between those two. Canada is just on the line of being capable of the deployment and being a joke so they get the job.

@Twoinchdestroya @Terry Because it's been recently revealed that China is funding politicians in Canada, and because it's recently been revealed that China has opened unofficial "police stations," in Canada to ensure Chinese people in Canada are acting in a way China prefers. Obviously this caused quite an uproar so politicians are pretending to be tough on China now.

@MatebaRespecter @Terry There was a big scandal like decades ago because they bought second-hand ancient submarines from the UK which were in such poor shape that one flooded then caught fire literally the day after it was delivered. They managed to save it but repairs took 10 years and even then it's basically limited to training sorties in shallow water because it's a deathtrap.The surface fleet isn't much better with most of the combat-capable ships being built in the late 70s and early 80s and were using helicopters so old that they were flying deathtraps and obsolete by the 60s, only replaced in the 2010s after repeated fatal and fuselage-loss accidents. The replacement helicopters were grounded shortly after procurement because the flight software was designed by pajeets and made them a deathtrap.That's not even touching on the quiet fact that the entire navy is essentially 40 aging ships supported by about as many aging aircraft and meant to defend the world's largest coastline. I have absolutely no fucking idea why they're trying to pick a fight with China.

@luithe @MatebaRespecter @Terry Another thing is that Canada can't even house it's soldiers, the military wants it's soldiers to contact Habitat for Humanity (housing charity) for housing assistance, so quite a lot of people literally can't afford to be soldiers even if their interested :laugh:
