@ruud hi there. I am desperately trying to reset my password (which I have forgotten for some reason). I am not receiving any Mastodon emails to my account however. Could you please advise?

@germilhistory @ruud I cannot help, only sympathise. Been trying to reset my password for weeks although I fully well remember which one I used. Confirmation emails don't even arrive. But I guess the system must be swamped so I resolved to wait a bit.

@germilhistory @watson_works Rob, if you like I can reset your password for you, which should send you mail. But first make sure you select mastodon.world in your app, some people select the wrong server and tat won't work ;-)

Password managers have existed for a while and there's many good options.Meanwhile, people doing dumb shit like this causes me (and everyone else working in IT) troubles when they eventually lose access to their accounts because of their dumb way of handling their data.Don't do dumb shit, get a password manager.

@ruud @watson_works i am trying to log in on Desktop. There is no server choice. On mobile app I am being asked. Desktop asks email and password. I was wondering about that.
