The video isn’t great but it is a good ten minute start on understanding why macOS Finder’s list view is the One True Path To Managing Your Files. Learn how this works, really, and your whole computing life can improve. Truly grok it and you will find a slowly building rage at every horrible alternative like Google Drive.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A4ETSExcNoA

@jon_alper gdrive is THE WORST in literally everything. Some of the columns can’t even be sorted although they are ostensibly the same as others. (Ex: ‘shared by’).

@jon_alper the unfortunate thing about hierarchical file systems is that if untended, will become a giant junk drawer. GDrive is like ‘hold my beer… what if we skipped the time it takes for eventual deterioration into chaos and just jammed you straight into it?’

@octothorpe It’s instant and, worse yet, irreversible entropy. One can add energy to an HFS to old back the tide of chaos. Nothing can be done with G Drive.

@jon_alper @octothorpe the best way to use GDrive is rclone.
