@ActionRetro I saw Adrian's video on that. Given its relative uselessness I was thinking it would be a great case mod for something else. I love the way it looks. #nabu

@ActionRetro Sadly the seller on Ebay took down the Nabu's... 😩Not sure if he sold out or what but it said that there were "More than 10 left" and as I got ready to buy the auction was closed! 😮

@ActionRetro You got one too? There's been one channel, can't think of the name, but I mentioned it on another thread on another account, that's been working on it, and he's close to putting up a server so the Nabu works just like it would've in the day I think

@ActionRetro There’s a ton of active reverse-engineering/development going on around these; if anyone isn’t familiar with DJ Sures (https://youtube.com/@DJSures) he’s made a ton of rapid progress. At this point he’s got communication working with a modern system via a network adapter simulator, and full code execution on the Z80. He’s posting regularly on his channel, and apparently even has some communication/help from York University (who ran YUNN per Adrian’s video)

@GLFC @ActionRetro But that’s the thing - it isn’t useless. Apart from having no physical storage (which is easily addressed), these machines are quite capable Z80 machines for the period. Decent graphics and sound, 64k of ram out of the box, and expansion ports 😮. Now that some of the technical documentation has surfaced, we have what we need to get them running. Not to mention, like Adrian mentioned, these are very similar to MSX and may be compatible

@puparlen @ActionRetro I thought Adrian said it shared a lot of components with the MSX, but that was just because they were common, off the shelf, chips of the era, not that they're compatible.Anyway, I stand corrected on the "useless" comment given what's happened since the video was released, but it's still an incredibly attractive enclosure I'd love to have on my desk.

@GLFC the original seller also had project boxes that used the same case and I think power supply also. no keyboard. but people have started cracking the code for the NABU already.
