Allow me to explain.The way I see it, we are just a small group of moderators here at SDF.If we want moderation to work, we need the help of everyone - this means reporting actual posts,  not being suspicious of everyone.Posting weird or even sexual things is OK - I have done it, and Mastodon should be a safe place for the weirdoes (of which I am one!).On the other hand, offering sex work is not. Being racist, etc, is not either. So report, report, report.

       @screwtape You will make mistakes reporting. That's OK, since moderators will pick up your report and decide whether this or that deserves action.We talk among us, we sometimes disagree, but here is the wonderful thing: 99% of the time, we agree on decisions.Yup, this is sex work, yup, this one is a nazi, etc. In my experience, most people who come here to post stupid stuff are not very subtle about it.So, if people want to follow you, let them. No need to be paranoid about it.
