@cinebox that would be doable, but I think that'd be hard to visually parse at first glance (especially in cases like the second post, where it comes in the middle of a bunch of other tags)

@shadowfacts I havenāt yet followed any hashtags, but monitoring how they are impacting my feed would be important. Wouldnāt mind if it was shown only when you view the individual post though.

@jcl @shadowfacts A potential option would be to display the top two (or three) in a delimited list with the overflow represented as ellipses.I would mainly be interested in knowing that it was coming from a followed hashtag more than knowing the specific tag.

@shadowfacts It would for me because, unlike your example, I often have unexpanded long toots with hashtags not visible and/or surrounded with many other tags, and I often wonder "Why is this post in my timeline?"

@shadowfacts this is a feature I would definitely appreciate. I donāt follow many hashtags but it would be helpful to see how the post ended up in my timeline. Currently that means going to the users profile to see if Iām following them or not when Iām not sure.

@libei yeah, itās a little bit annoying that the following field on the Tag object isnāt populated when itās returned from the home timeline endpoint. what Iām doing is fetching the list of followed tags at startup and then checking the postās tags against that list. there are some edge cases, but I think itās a reasonable trade off between accuracy and excessive network traffic
