Discovery is one of those albums where literally every song is a hit single. Bush is another group that came close with Sixteen Stone. The 90s and early 2000s had a really solid musical scene, its astonishing how badly the whole market fell apart around 2006-2010 and never recovered, the music today is fucking trash and I don’t think I’ve heard of a break out rock band in ten years.

@grafAin't it the truth!A mediocre dance band hires a bunch of ringers, and makes a world-class album. Right up there with Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, and Skynyrd. I listen to it often. Now, for example.The one that caught me by surprise was Amber Mark's "What It Is." Listened to it all day on repeat for a week. Even made a Spotify playlist with "What It Is" on repeat for two hours (ending, as do all my dance playlists, with a Sade tune). But it hasn't had the staying power of the classics.
