@stux I look at it like paying a monthly subscription fee, just like I already do for a bunch of less important things/services/tools. I run a sort of UR-social_media web page that’s been plugging along since 1997. In its heyday we had about 10K active accounts with maybe 200 or so active daily. Running on Macs of various vintages and OSes on my desk at work at a large US East coast private university. The internet was different then. Fun times. I feel your pain.

@stux A monthly State of the Instance / transparency report (like some other admins are providing) would be greatly welcomed, and would likely boost donations as people can see exactly what's required and what they're getting for their donations. Transparency is key!PS. I'm still on the Patreon but would consider increasing my pledge if I were more aware of it's requirement and use.
