@Curator Hello and thanks for the thread! CW for spider and insect!I’m Jen and I photograph wildlife with a focus on birds and bugs, especially in urban habitats. These days I mostly shoot with my Canon 7D MarkII and a 70-300 zoom for birds, or Laowa 100mm for bugs. I’m too lazy for an tripod and shoot all my photos in situ. I have a lifelong love of wildlife but living in a city has made me passionate about bringing awareness to and protecting the creatures we share our spaces with.

@Curator I take photos of just about everything. I mostly like taking my camera out for walks and let inspiration strike. Trying to show others what I see, have them feel what it was like to have been thereI only shoot digital on my Cannon 90D with a few decent lenses, but nothing particularly noteworthy.I'm inspired by seeing beauty around me, learning from photos others share, and moving to a new country and re-discovering the worldCW: Second photo, the yellow one, contains a bumblebee

@Curator I love this thread!I'm a sculptor learning to paint, so I've been shooting landscapes for reference. I'm really interested in the human-nature interconnection. We're part of the same system, even though it's not always obvious 😊 Gear is iPhone 12 Pro Max and Canon EOS Rebel T5i digital SLR#WomenPhotographers #LandscapePhotography #Landscape #Motorcycle #Woods #HumansAndNature

@Curator Most of my #photography focuses on nature, textures, and weird little details. Since 2021 I've been shooting exclusively with a Fujifilm x100v (I used a Canon SLR for ages, but I'm an enthusiastic Fuji convert). I'd love to get another interchangeable lens camera some day, when money allows, but I also really love how a fixed-lens camera forces creative framing. Here's some stuff I shot on a beach trip in August 2021.I also have some prints here: https://www.inprnt.com/gallery/jackiedivis/ #FediGiftShop

@Andromeda @Curator I often throw my 50mm on my Canon EOS because I enjoy the simplicity of fixed focal length. I've heard very good things about the X100 series, most people seem to report they get one as a standby camera and never stop using it.

@sullybiker They're brilliant little cameras. I got to the point where the size of my gear was preventing me from actually using it. The rangefinder form-factor and Fujifilm's brilliant color science (I don't really enjoy editing; everything I do now is essentially straight out of the camera) sold me on the x100v, and I have not been disappointed. But apparently it's significantly more difficult to get them now than when I got mine, unfortunately!

@Andromeda yes I reached a point with editing where I feel if I'm doing too much I didn't get the shot right. It's usually some minor curve work or sharpening.

@Andromeda I still suffer a bit from lugging a DSLR about, hence liking the plastic 50mm lens (it keeps weight and size down) and I have never liked the feeling of something dangling from my neck!

@Curator I don't go far in search of photos. I shoot what comes to me. Cats, dogs, birds, squirrels, flowers - anything really! These days I have a Canon 80D. But I like my little Lumix TZ camera too.

@Curator Hi! I'm an amateur photographer whose entire approach to taking photos is "I think this looks neat--lemme see if I can capture what's so neat about it so I can show it to others."When I'm being intentional about taking photos, I use a Canon Rebel T41, but the camera on my Samsung Galaxy S9 is good for when I'm without my camera bag.

@Curator what a wonderful idea!I love photography and I shoot on whatever is to hand at the time, whether that's my phone, a point and shoot, one of my micro four thirds rigs or my silly instax mini. I take so much joy from recording the world around me and sharing my perspective with friends and family alike. I love to shoot food, animals, bugs and plants and anything bright, bold and eye-catching.

@Curator :artpeek: I'm not a professional photographer, so I hope it's okay to post. I use a Nikon DSLR with different objectives (my most recent pictures I took with a tripod and remote release). Mostly I just take it and look if I find something nice to capture; preferably in more or less unusual weather conditions (fog, frost, snow). I would like to do more portraits, though. 📸 👧
