@deprecated_ii As much as those two guys are grifters or whatever, the thing is there's also been a boiling sentiment in the dissident right against Trump and how he's completely fumbled things since 2020 or so, with the most striking thing being how he's let J6 protesters rot and not make it a cornerstone of his campaign, among other things like his stance on race and not giving a shit about white issues. There's already a divide. The Gateway Pundit just ran a hit piece on Kayne and Nick today. I'm sure there's going to be a huge split soon in the boomer side of the party again. I also know that some of the dissident right feels Trump lost 2020 because he sold white people down the river for minorities.

There is a non-trivial group of Wordpress bloggers who feels that is the case, but before that they were going on about how Trump was selling them down the river and it got worse with how he seemed to shit himself and do nothing a lot of times. They don't want Trump back, they want their based politician who might or might not exist.

There's a culture of fear, that the feds will fuck them over in some form or another, be it the IRS audits during the Obama years or Project Veritas getting raided over someone leaking the Biden diary to them or the kangaroo court sessions of Alex Jones, and those are just the more mainstream right wing people. The dude Kyle blew the arm off of got to walk free and charges were never filed, and the guy who held a gun to the car of James Fields and bragged about it got memory holed. The former had a high profile court case to prove his innocence and people came out of the woodwork to support him, while the latter not only didn't have that but even associating with him was political poison. He's definitely not leaving prison unless it's either in a body bag, or unless the USA collapses and someone sets him free (it's not like FALN where they'll bust their pals out of prison or try to). The dissident right is scared shitless they'll be made an example out of next. The leftists on the other hand have nowhere near the same level of fear, and if you notice they will never protest in enemy territory. They don't need to optics cuck, the media will just not report on what they say or it'll be seen as "out of context". Which is why right wing groups absolutely collapse when the slightest pressure of the boots of the system come down on them with what you said coming into account.

Completely different application of rules is a huge one. Over 150 days of violent riots causing hundreds of millions of dollars and including explosives attacks on courthouses, an attack on the Whitehouse that sent the president into a bunker, buildings burned down with innocent people inside, and occupation by a group claiming to be autonomous of the government were "mostly peaceful protests" and most people involved were released immediately. Contrast with j6 or the trucker convoy, it's clear not all people are treated equally under the law.
