       @cnx the time wasn't really a lot since some characters in cyrillic and latin are the same or really similar and the rest is easy to learni basically learned it passively with no effort in like two days (i can't create meaningful sentences, just read them)

       @arh, I wish I could go from knowing the alphabet to actually capable of reading and understanding in two days.  It sure took more investments than that.

       @cnx it really was just a very short time to learn the characters, they're not difficult at all. i don't understand the texts fully, i usually get about half the words written (the easier ones usually) and then try to figure out the rest
