Peter and Kate did not pay for the trip to Paris, Peter and Frank’s brother who lived in Paris paid for it. (Peter paid for the trip in the second movie, to Miami.) And the 9 people figure? Im not sure which way that would be figured out because 2 sets of parents + all those kids (from 3 families) >> 9.
