@ryo @mangeurdenuage @dielan @vandys a part of me still wishes for that people use free software and good technology. it always ends up with dumbing down good things and copying bad parts from proprietary garbage while managing to implement it even worse though. like anything "desktop linux" of at least the last 15 years. really, aside "eyecandy" and drivers for crappy hardware, nothing works better now than on a linux distribution from back then.

@mangeurdenuage @bonifartius @vandys @dielan Ubuntu was great when they still had Gnome 2 as the default DE, and actually shipped free live CDs on demand.I think Ubuntu 9.10 was the last version that had this free live CD programme, I collected them all, most of which are lying around at my grandparent's house.
