I'm a bit conflicted about this so I thought I'd ask all of you: How do you (or how do you think others should) handle posting in multiple #languages? Do you mind following someone, even if they sometimes post in a language you don't speak? Or do you simply unfollow them if you see such posts? Do you choose your post language by topic (e.g. country politics)? And do you use the new Mastodon feature to filter out languages you don't speak? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. (Boosts welcome)

@matzekult it is a little difficult to answer. In my case I have two accounts,, one in Hebrew and one in 5 languages that I speak almost regularly, but mostly English/German. If I see posts in a language that I cannot understand, it doesn't bother me, but... of course, if messages that I don't understand are the majority of the messages in the stream, then I tend to unfollow, just because of usability of the platform for my necessities.I would recommend that professional accounts are in a single language, especially in cases like journalists and content creators, museum and culture, etc. If the account is personal, then I think we should be as flexible as we can.
