@drewdevault @mirusu @drewdevault btrfly uses alpine that's actually my only experience with it aside from installing it for the twtr.plus bridge

@drewdevault I would use it if it weren't for the fact I'm a gamer with an NVIDIA GPU.

@drewdevault I do use it on all my servers that don't require glibc, though.

@drewdevault when it brings back libressl, it'll be worth using again.

Alpine is small, simple, stable, and robust. And that's all I ever wanted.

@drewdevault I find myself these days pretty obsessed with Guix. Have you played around with guix / nix? I will admit that apk seems to be much faster at installing packages...

@drewdevault Fair enough. I love playing around with guile scheme. The lack of a proper debugger is a bit of a bummer.

@thegnuguy@fosstodon.org @drewdevault@fosstodon.org Last time I took a look at #Guix it appeared to actively shun #ZFS support. Other than that, the concept is interesting to me, at least.

@tyil @drewdevault You are probably somewhat right when you say it shunned ZFS support. They are nervous about violating the license. Still there is an open issue for it.

@thegnuguy@fosstodon.org @drewdevault@fosstodon.org If we're talking about the same issue thread, it's #Guix maintainers telling some guy putting in quite a bit of effort to "just use #btrfs lol".
