       Remember when we mobbed Wil Wheaton off the fediverse sometimes in 2018ish?The fediverse does not magically improve the behaviour of a group of people.And it's not "them", the people now coming from Twitter, that bring the hate to "us". Hate has been here from in the beginning, it just might have been easier to ignore.

       @dkl Yeah, entirely possible these people were made to leave.In any case I feel like this time it’s different. Back then, people tried making this Twitter. Now the Fediverse grew enough that people realize it’s a new place and don’t just bring their Twitter behavior here. At least most of them.
