       @magemore * At one point I had to put a "killall vlc" launcher on my toolbar because it kept becoming a zombie that prevented new vlc processes from starting* For some reason it subtly changes the playback speed of media while playing. For me a musician this makes the tuning change noticeably. I freaked out thinking my brain was breaking the first times I experienced this until I realised it was VLC. Wtf.* It's notorious for visual glitching, I mean just search "vlc anime" on google images...
