       Duck eggs have more fat I think, ducks can also be left around a garden and don't generally destroy/eat the vegetables wheras chickens will.  Ducks can eat slugs and snails as well but chickens can eat small mice. The attached duck also looks very cool, it's a Cayuga duck and is a rare breed introduced to the finger lakes area.

       with chickens you can take those pallet sized fluid containers, take out the plastic bits, and wrap the protective metal rollbars with chicken wire, put straw and compost on the bottom, instant stackable, compact, industrial henhouse.
