@juergen_hubert @doot It might not be a well published fact, but the word Mastodon actually originated from the word "Mahnstradon". This in turn came from "Mahnst" and "radon"."Mahnst" is short for "Mein Hans", and "radon" is a weird language mix that originated from "on the rad", and "rad" as we all know is part of the German word for bicycle.So, in short, Mastodon means "My Hans is riding on the bike". With that in mind it's not so strange that most people here are Germans named Hans riding bicycles.
