       https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/12423#Mastodon desperately needs to support post migration/import (import is more feasible) if they want the majority of people to comfortably switch to other instances of the #Fediverse.This issue has existed since 2019 and has made no progress besides discussion between users. There’s been a huge surge of comments because people are seeing how needed this is, now more than ever. I hope something will finally get the attention of the devs, so some real progress can be made

       Alternatively, with it being #OpenSource, if anyone knows the #Mastodon codebase well, maybe they can try to contribute this feature and make a pull request.Anything to get this added (or the attention of the devs) would be very useful for pushing this to the platform. Wrongfully suspended accounts, people looking for an instance better suited to them, and many users just trying to keep server load on larger instances down, all would really appreciate it.
