One of the things that's been bugging me as my #Mastodon consumption grows is that I see the same "Boost"'d posts over and over again.Mastodon has an option to suppress these ("Group boosts in timelines"), but it works by looking at your timeline and seeing if the post is in the last 40 items you've seen; so if it's 41st, it reappears for you.Well, not anymore on yyc.bike -- now it looks at the last 400 items on your feed. 😉#nixos #opensource #mastoadmin

If you're not the administrator of your Mastodon instance, the next-best option I had come up with is to use "Filter this post" and then put it into a filter named something like "Seen Specific Post Too Many Times". This disappears it from your timeline. But it's pretty manual and repetitive.
