@erin Thanks for addressing this!I'll repost the 5-strikes moderation policy from our peers at the Newfoundland instance (https://nfld.me/about). It gives mods time and latitude to separate the real offenders from false positives while giving users an opportunity to appeal or change behaviour at every step. People are fallible and whenever reasonable, we should give them chances to change their behaviour.

:mstdn: To clarify: Creating a moderation policy is necessary as we continue to grow our "little" Canadian community. It will help define our current server rules, and provide our community an understanding of how we will "moderate" them. We are looking for suggestions, links to moderation policies you fancy already, & help on ensuring our policy is anti-oppressive.If you do not feel comfortable commenting publicly, you can send me a DM.
