@subtetralectic The very short version is that a couple of CISA employees joined that server, and some people are (understandably) skittish about being around “the feds”. However, I don’t believe CISA are “the feds” in a meaningful sense, and even if they were, I think it’s a good idea to have open communication between law enforcement and security researchers.

@tek ah, i see, thanks! actually had to look up what CISA is. ironic that this negative reaction would not take place if they joined covertly/anonymously (with a much larger chance of a hidden agenda).
