       @dick_turpin The explosion of COVID-19 denialism on Twitter in the past few days has been sad as it makes the place less usable.  Add in the explosion of MAGA madness and you have quite the toxic brew.

       @smkellat The thing is, you can always block the individuals with views you don't like. I know that's a game of whack-a-mole, but if upsets someone that much, then it's worth the effort. Personally, I just mute people who talk out their backside mainly because you can't engage with them, no matter how hard you try for dialogue's sake.The biggest problem with Twitter is the Tribe mentality which, sadly, a lot have brought with them to the Fediverse.

       @dick_turpin For the most part, people tend to like their comfort zones best.  I'm grateful to the noise about Mastodon though, as it reminded me about my neglected account here!  I'll try and stick with it for longer this time.

       @dick_turpin Twitter isn’t completely respecting blocks any more for me.  It is now starting to recommend to me such content on the mentions tab regardless of any filtering or blocking.
