With version 3.4.6, a lot has changed under the hood, in preparation of upcoming releases where we plan to support database encryption and running balances. For now, on the surface, the main screen comes with a new more spacious design, showing the category icon, and other information, not shown in the list previously, like the presence of an attachment, and an indication of the payment method. We are excited to learn from you how to evolve this design to make it even more useful.

@myexpenses Thanks for the update! While I see the appeal of the new design when one is using categories and it's icons, I personally just quickly note down most entries without categorizing them. That is happening in beancount later on for me. So the more space-saving "legacy" version of the UI is working better for me personally since it "wastes" less space. Please keep that UI as a possibility for now.Very much looking forward to running balances!

@martinc @myexpenses I also very much appreciate the legacy option. While I do categorize everything, but when I am looking at this view, the category doesn't matter at that time. If it did, I'd filter by category, but then I do not need to see the icon then either because they'll all be the same.Seeing a substantially larger number of entries is much preferred. Thank you for leaving this option!
