I think I'm going to be slow walking approvals for a bit. We're close to 6,000 users which is a perfect size. Only a bit more than half are active, but I don't want to overwhelm the server. In other words, suggest your friends apply elsewhere. There are many very good smaller servers out there.

@leo This is very wise. Unlimitted growth isn't the goal. Good community is the goal and horizontal scaling across MANY, MANY small to medium instances does help this.

@leo I can get this running for you in Kubernetes if you're interested, should give it the ability to auto scale. I'm a SRE and this is my wheelhouse.(Yes for free, I like this stuff.)

@leo Do we also have a server longevity issue? I was considering a 2nd account elsewhere that will be around 5-10 years. I joined twit.social Jan 2021 (I think), and am enjoying the Fediverse migration, but what is the future viability of the TWiT server 5-10yrs out? We are portable, right?
