I am kind of worried about how we, instance admins, will deal with Tumblr. Tumblr focuses a lot on media, pictures and art, which is bandwidth and storage-intensive.Maybe I should sign up for a storage block provider, while I still can?

besides that and moderation, user spam and whatnot. I think Tumblr will be a perfect addition to the Fediverse.

@oklomsy or just block the instance. things like cw don't exist on tumblr, and considering all the weird stuff that exists on that platform, my expectations is it's going to get fediblocked pretty quickly.

@Hanicef That's of course always an option, but I think Tumblr would add support for CWs and also heavily increase moderation as to not get blocked.

@oklomsy I don't know if there is a way to do this cleanly, but could you replace all non-text media with a link to it on tumblr's servers? It would make it less truely federated, but it also would side step some moderation problems as well.
