Do you need a link shortener here? I think URLs just count as 23 chars regardless - and long URLs are presented truncated so they don't clutter.@bbcmicrobot

@EdS @bbcmicrobot I've certainly seen some clients/UIs not shorten the URL.I think a URL shortener/redirecter could have other benefits. An appropriate static image or similar could be served based on `User-Agent` to give sensible previews on here.
