Is it just me, or is there a certain air of elitism and narcissism among people who call themselves anarchists, and who proudly proclaim they aren't on the right or left?I found one guy, and his bloviating posts are just filled with arrogance and lack of knowledge.And them when I challenged him on a point it went ignored.

@Ricardus probably both? the anarchists i know (and hang with voluntarily) do not claim centrism. they are unabashedly left. but then, they also identify as mutualists. to them, anarchism is an expression of their belief that consolidated power is bad, and that helping people is good.

@skaficianado Sure. I mean Chomsky believes in anarchosyndicalism, which is unabashedly left, but I've been running across this new generation of "anarchists" who claim centrism, but their political views are definitely biased right.

@Ricardus ugh. well, here's hoping i don't run into them. because that's not "anarchists", that's "trolls." unless they believe their own BS, in which case that's "idiots."but... the quaker in me says this may offer teachable moments. oh, you're interested in anarchism? let's read some history! let's learn about kanno suga and kaneko fumiko. let's learn about anarchism in the spanish civil war.
