@kroner I gave up on Rust. I'm sure it's a great language for high performance and all that, but I end up spending an hour reading documentation and obscure language/compilation rules for every five minutes coding (at best).Also there are way too many trannies in the Rust world.

It’s creepy knowing there’s some guy or chopped off his cock and spends a few minutes feeding a hostage down his well and dropping her lotion to soften her skin, then comes back and chats calmly with you about some code. Ewwww. I felt this way when I installed and ran a Plume instance. You never know when they’re going to off themselves too.

@verita84 @kroner Golang lives on in the Kubernetes and cloud world, and it's actually decent for making simple web apis and even templated web sites.I prefer Go over Node.js for backend work, but then you inevitably have to learn Javascript/Typescript anyway for frontend, so it's kind of moot. Also Go's database situation is pretty atrocious. Gorm is not fun to work with, and neither is trying to do your own repository pattern manually with the built-in SQL interface and whatever third-party driver you need for the database(s) you're working with (since they rely on "the community" to make all that).

This was literally me with my last position except they were hiring Argentinians. Literally had me train them up and write documentation for them before they let me know that I was going to be let go.To be honest I am in a much better job now that pays better so I am not really that mad about it. I should have left that other job earlier even 💀
