       @stevo @ruud q: I’ve seen a lot of journos on Twitter complaining that their names got stolen and used to toot unsafe harmful content like Lawrence Tribe which is something that turns people away. What is the policy on that I mean what is the recourse can you report the fake accounts?

       @lexsion @stevo Yes our rules state that fake accounts are forbidden unless it's very clearly stated it's a parody account. So fake accounts can be reported and will be removed.

       @stevo @ruud Ta for the CoC. This increase is fantastic! For better clarity, can I request the user number be written as 100,000 / 100 000 / 100.000? Whichever format works best. Because at this rate the number is hitting millions pretty fast then you have to count the zeros...

       @stevo @ruud I’m really glad to see you have a moderation policy that addresses shitposting and promo stuff. My brother is an aspiring comedy writer and used the Bird App as a place to practice his joke writing skills in public. He never worked “blue” or punched down but now I’m trying to find a server for him to navigate to that might be a fit but isn’t just full of edgelords. Maybe yours is an option?

       @ruud @stevo seems there is another victim https://twitter.com/caslernoel/status/1596264458577653762?s=46&t=ht-BPeqS4R66BtpEB6y4_g NoelCasler (a comedian) got his account suspended because someone else impersonated him… I mean is there a way to prevent people name stealing and making accounts on mastodon or first come first served ?
