       @nyq it isn't by app, but rather by server ('instance'). The various servers chat with each other and circulate materials.For our case (#MastodonWorld :mastodonworld:), images and text are on @ruud's server.

       @vsp @nyq Yes all text is stored in the database on our server, the images are stored in a cloud storage provider.When someone on another server follows you, your posts will also be pushed to their server.
