       What the actual fuck Tracy Chou's (@triketora) tweet was taken down on mastodon.social for "racism" and "sexism" because she wrote. "for the last few years i've been almost exclusively reading books by authors who are non-male non-white non-straight (or some combination thereof) and i've loved it but now i'm thinking i need to return to straight white male authors to study the psychology of the rich white men who hold power over all of us

       @Heike_Naumann @timnitGebru @triketora why you feel the need to splain to me? new admins & new mods are selected, right? and in that process - however time constrained it may be - i am surprised & deeply pissed off (which is none of your concern) that someone came into the role *not already clued up enough* to know how Tracy's toot is great, a personal statement of fact and - describes the bleedin obvious state of the world! i mean, who could honestly *in the Mastodon sphere* misconstrue it?!

I'm an old guy.Can you teach me, or give me a link to something to read? I could look them up, but I have a feeling that the dictionary meanings won't tell me what I need to know, nor will I have any way to judge whether search results are actually relevant.
