@ruud You should give a thanks to Leo Laporte of TWIT fame as he reminded people to donate to their chosen servers as much as to Mastodon's Patreon. He explained where the Patreon money goes to and suggested keeping the servers up and running is as important as the software developers for the "platform".

@ruud I just made the switch from Twitter and do love it but was wondering how to see the people someone is Following since when I press I don’t see anything. Also when selecting “Followers” only a handful appear both with official app and third party app ‘tooot’ am I missing something? Has this to do with different servers? The people I tried are on mastodon.social or .xyz thanks in advance. Groeten, Rob

@pacorob Hoi Rob,This instance only knows the local people, and the people followed by local people. All others are unknown to our server. So if you want to see all followers of an external account, you need to click through to their remote profile.

@ruud Thank you for your quick response! It is unfortunate this limitation exists but thanks for explaining. Really loving the experience especially with Tooot app on iOS since you can edit a toot. Is it perfect ? Nope. It only needs saved hashtags (that some other apps have) and a way to see an overview of all followed hashtags in one timeline. I’ve tried almost all iOS apps in recent days even Tusker (in TestFlight). Have a great rest of the evening.
