@selea I would say that while the only way tw@tter can scale is up, Mastodon & friends can also or mainly scale out, actually if I'm not wrong that's the original design

@seleait won't scale? that's fine, all my friends are here and that's enough to for me :ablobsmile: (okay but fr though plenty of people use lightweight akkoma instances so I don't think fediverse scaling will be a real issue)

@selea I'm far from an expert in the technology, but it seems to me the whole "federated network" structure is pretty much infinitely scalable by its very nature.
