       @SDFI now have unsuccessful follow requests to at least 15 accounts on remote servers made from >12 hours (up to a few days) ago, as well as at least 1 follow request made from a remote server to this account 20 hours ago that has not been seen here.  Withdraw and re-follow has not worked.A few other recent remote follows have succeeded.Problem appears to be on incoming rather than outgoing end.

       @doctroid @SDF Patience. Mastodon is growing at an exponential rate and we just need to give it time for them to build up to the new volume of people needing a safe place to land.

       @Iwasbeingnice @SDF What we* are seeing appears to be an actual bug or misconfiguration, not just a matter of things are slow because of new users. Some of these "pending" follow requests are days old.*I'm not the only one seeing this problem

       @Iwasbeingnice @SDF @sjc particularly since the follow requests ARE BEING SEEN and acted upon immediately at the remote server, but the transaction is NOT BEING COMPLETED at the SDF end.

       @Iwasbeingnice @SDF @sjc ... or the return transaction isn't reaching SDF.I tried following two of these accounts from another server. One succeeded immediately but the other (like from SDF) did not.

       @doctroid @Iwasbeingnice @sjc there are many instances that are dealing with latency and we may not be receiving their acknowledgements.  We'll try rebuilding your relationships, it may take time.
