If you complained about #TheLastOfUs being remade so soon, you may wish to take to the forums for this one: #TempleOfApshai (1979) was remade only 6 years later as Temple of Apshai Trilogy (1985). It also bundled in some add-ons (a la DLC) and the DOS version included upgraded CGA graphics.#RetroGaming #RPGs

One paragraph review: Temple of Apshai (1979) is an early microcomputer RPG, released after pre-Rogue rogue-like Beneath Apple Manor. It's purely 2D turn-based dungeon crawling. There's no goal, except for collecting treasure, buying equipment, and diving deeper into the dungeon. There are no spells, no character classes, no leveling up. It *does* have more sophisticated combat that previous computer RPGs, with three different melee attacks and ranged weapons. Worth a look.#retrogaming #rpgs

@retrogamer I enjoyed the #C64 original and many of the other #Epyx games from that time

@mjgardner That would have been great. I was pondering getting a C64 Maxi (https://retrogames.biz/products/thec64/) to play a bunch of Epyx games that ship with it (including Temple of Apshai Trilogy), but couldn't quite justify it to myself – so went with the DOS version.
