I don't know if I ever mentioned that I went to college with Hootie and the Blowfish. I couldn't watch tonight's game against Tennessee. I just couldn't bear to hear their band play rocky mount in our stadium. @Joycevor No worries at all. College football is about all I pay attention to, and my team has been sketchy for such a long stretch. @carolinacally @WhirledPeas Bruce Springsteen used to play dances at my husband's high school (all boys in Colts Neck, NJ.) Bruce wasn't the main attraction. They went to see Clarence Clemons play the sax. In the 80's he formed a side band - The Red Bank Rockers. I traveled across town to a Georgetown dorm in DC where they were the star attraction..Clarence was wailing on his horn. There was a short guy in a leisure suit with a killer blues voice accompanying.
