More likely, Trump doesn’t return, and Twitter continues to tank.I agree the future is federated and I also dismissed Truth Social, but it’s much like Google/chromium, the money in Truth Social is actually pushing innovation in the Fediverse and from an engineering standpoint it’s a net benefit beyond dispute

Really, this looks embarrassing for Musk, why is he making a spectacle of bringing back a guy who says he’s not interested in coming back? His decisions continue only to make sense to me through the lens that he’s deliberately destroying his own investment. I’m not saying he is, I just don’t get it

You seem to be working from the assumption that Twitter is going to play a significant role as a mediator of news and popular culture in the months leading up to the US election in 2024. Trump has apparently decided it won’t, and he could be right. It’s not obvious either way.

@ryan @atomicpoet I dunno if yer current with the podcast, but I think @adam has basically the right of it. If you are trying to become the everybank. You have to at least make a play for that audience. Now.. libs are gonna ree and flee- so thats a fucked balancing act. But as it has been semi playing out- people talk a ton but stick around if only to complain. I don't know that any of this will work out in Musk's favor. The machine is massive. But i'm enjoying the show.

@kaede @asteroidrainfall @atomicpoet posting.lolicon.rocks doesn't upload CP. At least, I haven't heard of that or seen any reports. Drawings are legal in the Netherlands and that's all that concerns me.
